Last weekend there was an early whiff of fall in the air when I went to Lowe’s, and they had their Halloween stuff out (already! I know!), so I am personally over summer for the year. And while I’m not a PSL* guy, I love apple anything. So let’s talk about cider! What it’s made of! (Apples, duh, but also pears and sometimes quince.) Where it’s made! (Pretty much everywhere.) Where it came from! (The ancient Celts.) The etymology! (Celtic ciser meaning “strong drink.”) What do you drink them with? (Cheese is a great choice.) How do they all differ?
