1.1 I opened a bottle of wine when I got home and the juice is bad/cork is rotted/I don't like it.  Can I get a refund?

As many as 5% of wines are defective as a result of faulty corks, premature oxidation, or other circumstances of bottling, transport, and storage.  You may return any defective wine to us, within 30 days of purchase, for store credit.


All returns must be accompanied by a receipt.  We reserve the right to refuse any return if our staff believes the product has been improperly stored or handled, by the customer, after purchase.

1.2 Can you open a bottle for me to taste?

We love to taste, teach, learn and discuss wine and spirits in the full richness of their production, history, culture, and experience.  In this spirit we offer three tastings a week, in-store, to our community.  The tastings range in subject and character but are always conducted with a mind to sharing, learning, and enjoyment.  And they're free.

Our tastings occur on Fridays from 6-8pm, Saturdays from 4-7, and Sundays from 2-4.  Come on by!

1.3 I had this amazing wine when I was on vacation in Portugal/Moldova/the Republic of Georgia!  Can you order it for me?

Maybe.  Although New York City exists in a fertile valley of wine distribution, there is a lot of wine being made in the world, and not all of it for export.  Please email [email protected] for inquiries.

1.4 Can you deliver wine to my house?

We provide free, same-day delivery to your curbside on orders meeting the $60.00 pre-tax minimum.  Orders to addresses within our standard delivery zone (see map) before noon will generally arrive by 7pm.

Our delivery staff and state law require our customers to provide a signature upon receipt of deliveries.


You must be 21 years or older in the state of New York to purchase wine and spirits!

1.5 What about to my winter home in Florida/summer home in Montauk/phone booth in Glacier Bay National Park?

We ship wine and spirits out-of-state through Federal Express.  Please call us at 718-826-6600 to arrange packing and shipping.  The following states are ineligible for shipping due to regulation: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia.


We do not offer international shipping.

1.6 Do you offer discounts?

A 10% case discount applies to any 12 bottles of any wine or spirit in the store. 

1.7 Do you sell beer?

Nope.  (Against state law.)
